I spent a long time trying to find the perfect cradle for my car. I wanted to avoid the suction cup methods as these tend to fall of while driving and in some cases thieves look for the suction cups or markings on the windshield for targets. I was a bit skeptical of adding the magnetic plate to my phone and didn't expect this to grip as strongly as it does. I was able to slip the metal plate between my phone and the case (I left the sticky backing on as a cushion to the phone, the case holds it in place fine). Once stuck to my car, this creates a strong bond to the phone that doesn't rattle or get knocked around. I love that I don't need to fiddle with the phone to use this mount; simply get in the car, pop it on, and go.
